In contrast with the harsh surroundings, the Ladakhi people are warm and kind folks. The population of Ladakh is predominantly Buddhist, hence it has been deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 1: Leh arrival
Take an early morning flight from Delhi to Leh, we receive you at Kushok Bakula Rinpochey airport-Leh and transfer to Hotel. Take complete rest for the day and acclimatize to the high altitude cold desert.
Day 2: After breakfast drive to Takthok (cave of Guru Padma Sambhava) Monastery and drive back to Chemdey Monastery.
Activities at Chemdey:
Sightseeing of the monastery with monks and guide, learn about stupasand religious objects, interaction with monks and visit monk’s quarter, prayer, learn about their life and daily activities and have lunch with monks. After lunch visit the famous Hemis monastery and museum.
Day 3: Tour starts from Leh at 7.30 am and drive through the world’s highest motorable road, Khardong La (18380ft). Walk through the mustard and wheat field through the old settlement of Khardong village and have hot lunch in a Ladakhi house. After lunch drive to Sumoor and stay in a family guest house. Evening cultural program by self help
women group from Tegar village and the guest can experience cooking traditional Ladakhi dinner with the house owners.
Day 4: Proceed for a village walk, interact with local people in Sumoor village and visit an old sacred juniper tree in Ayee village. Visit of Samstanling Monastery, hot springs (Panamik) and experience a short Buddhist meditation in Entsa meditation retreat in the mountains of few immersive activities. Return to Sumoor and relax, or try some traditional sport like archery or fire camp at the family guest house.
Day 5: After breakfast drive to Tirith village to see a rock carving of Buddha and Boddhisatvas. There will be a fun competition of playing a game with stones to learn about some myths and beliefs with stones. Then drive to Hunder for camel Safari, sightseeing of Diskit Monastery and the Maitreya Buddha statue. After lunch drive back to Leh.
Day 6: Spend a day at leisure in Leh. Overnight at Leh.
Day 7: Leh – Delhi departure
Early morning drive to Kushok Bakula Rinpochey airport-Leh to catch the flight back to Delhi.
